My name is misha.
{Yes. I always use a small-case "M"}
I am a wife.
Married
to the man of my dreams.
Truly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a daughter.
To the best parents a girl could ask for.
I am also an only child.
Which means I don't have any brothers or sisters.
It doesn't mean that I was spoiled rotten!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I worked in the horse business professionally
for many years.
{except for the year I lived in Montezuma;
just search on my blog for that "M" word}
Working in large show horse facilities
in charge of their breeding programs.
~I have happily left all that behind~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a horse lover.
A dog lover.
A cat lover.
A lover of all creatures great and small.
I write.
About my life.
About living in a small mountain town.
About living in a 110 year old farmhouse.
About 5 Arabian horses, 3 dogs and a small herd of cats.
We get nightly visits from a raccoon, opossum, and during the day, a groundhog.
We feed the deer who roam on this 150 acres.
And occasionally we get visits from Black Bears who are crossing the mountains.
We don't feed them.
Because that would be stupid illegal.
We consider our critters our Kids.
And care for them, accordingly.
As stewards over all these beautiful creatures, I cannot imagine my life without them!
I hope they feel the same.
I have Fibromyalgia,
Chronic Fatigue,
Connective Tissue Disease,
and
Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Living with a Chronic Illness is tough.
And it sucks.
Every day is different, and not in a good way...
My life changed 4 years ago when I was finally diagnosed.
I write about all of this, too.
{If you suffer from a chronic illness,
feel free to contact me!}
In 2004, J and I suddenly found ourselves living in the mountains of east Tennessee.
Although we had plans to move here one day,
it happened much faster than we ever dreamed it would!
We are grateful to be living in one of the most beautiful places in the U.S.
(At least we think it is!)
Thank you for visiting
From My Front Porch in the Mountains
{all creatures great and small}
I hope you will stop by often!
xo, misha
