~ A Feline Kind of New Years Eve ~

We threw our own little New Years Eve Party!
The kitties even made confetti for us,
by going to town and shredding tissue paper!

We gave them a couple of large gift bags
stuffed with tissue paper.
And as you can see, they had a blast!
We did too.
The felines always make for awesome entertainment!
It didn't take long for the tissue paper to be flying everywhere.

Brutus, *the jelly-belly klepto cat* didn't participate.
He slept the whole evening until I woke him up
at mid-night to say, "Happy New Year"!
He muttered, "Whatever"...
And went back to sleep.
Dreaming sweet dreams of all things shiny,
belonging to him!

I think Mickey may have had a little too much cat-nip.

These girls stayed up to ring in the New Year.

Zeke was passed out in his bed on the couch.
Watching the felines tear and shred all that tissue paper,
well, it just wore him out!

As it did us.
We headed to bed shortly after that big ball in NYC dropped.

~ Welcome 2013 ~
 Happy New Year Everyone!

A home party with those you love . . . perfect!
Exactly what we did . . . although Snickers wasn't wearing a cute tissue paper dress. She was more like Kleptco cat . . .
zoned right through the ball drop.
Happy New Year Misha, and to J and the "menagerie."

Happy new year to you too!

We took some catnip to the local cat shelter, but one kitty spent the entire time playing with the crinkly bag that we brought the catnip in. It was so much fun watching him enjoy that bag! Stevie@ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com

The kitties didn't invite me?? Dang. I got a photo of The Cats here in DC that I'll post eventually. They couldn't have cared less about a new year. Kinda like me. :)

My boys would have loved that kind of evening!! Unfortunatly, over here the neighborhood kids played with fireworks all day and all night, so I only saw Arie, who wasn't bothered with it as much as the rest. The other kitties remained under our bed, waiting for the fireworks to end, which just happened today... Really wished that terrible stuff would be forbidden. Causes just to much mess and noise, not to mention the accidents with it....
Give your furry babies a big Dutch hug for me and for you and J. all the best wishes for this new year.
Love you.
Bianca

Brutus and I shared a similar New Year's Eve...wonderful, blessed, peaceful, life restoring SLEEP!
Misha, catnip grows wild here so the cats are immune to it...or seem to be.

Misha -
It looks like the kitties really know how to kick-up their paws & party. Brutus likely bowed-out because he needed to dream about his first klepto event of the year. Sissy does look amazing in her custom red dress. She looks like a flamingo dancer to me. Black & white cats are so lucky, they look great in everything.
I hope we can all change the World for the better by being a bit kinder to those around us & by deciding to be less judgemental of others.
Thank you for continuing to share parts of your life stories and for taking the risk of speaking honestly about the issues that are important to you. I wish you the best for 2013.
