~A Lazy Day of May~

Is it October yet?
~
So much for the reasoning of
"...it was a mild Winter,
therefore it will be a mild Summer."

I do believe
Mother Nature
is a bit confused.
Perhaps when she flipped over the April page
on her calendar
she accidentally changed it to
the month of July!
What other reason could it be
that we have already hit 90 degrees all week!

Earlier today, most everyone went outside.
Sadie Louise to lay in the shade.
Most of the felines to lay on the deck
or the cool concrete steps.

But those of us that don't like to
sweat or pant
are in the cool, comfort of the A/C!
With the whirl of the ceiling fans above us,
we are just plain lazy today.

Cleo napping under the breezy fan.

Zeke doing what he does best!

Our little farmhouse cottage
has been mighty quiet today.
{Except for Zeke snoring.}

That will all change soon.
Because the "Dinner-bell" rings promptly at 6pm.
Everyone comes running home!
And 6pm in our home, is one of the
most exciting times of the day for all the critters!

~Tonight's Menu~

Felines
Tuna with cheese in a savory sauce
{and free-feeding crunchy food all day!}
"Temptations" cat-nip flavored treats for dessert

Canines
Meaty, soft & crunchy morsels with peas and carrots
Basted milk bones for dessert

And sparkling, spring-fed well water for all!

I hope your day was lovely.
And whatever the weather was on your mountain..
it was just what you ordered!
xo,
misha
Oh, and if you are in our neck of the woods,
feel free to stop by.
We always have leftovers!

Try 105 at the end of March! Or was it the first of April. Either was tooooooo EARLY.

I love it when cats sleep on their backs. It shows a total trust of their owners.

Hey... your menu is exactly like ours. We had a couple of very warm days but then the temps dropped to acceptable. Rain and high heat are mighty uncomfortable!

90 . . . Already . . . NO, NO, NO!

We are plain drippy here . . . Very green and really drippy!
Snickers snores when it isn't thundering . . .

It's getting warmer now and longer days. I love Cleo's butterscotch belly. Hugs, Deb

We are having a little cooler temps here today, only 80 for a high. I bet the cooler temps make it to your house in a day or two.

That dinner for both felines and canines sounds delicious! No wonder six o'clock is a popular time in your house xD

Thank god for air conditioning on 90 degree days; that is all I gotta say!

We have had some 90's and I DID NOT
like it one bit!
Tis week we will be in the 70's and that is more like it.
Hope you cool down soon!

As I sit watching the misty rain blow by it feels cold so we have put the heating on for an hour! The planet is confused as to what weather is usual for which month. We are just over a month from midsummer day, so come on mother nature think about what's what! Enjoy lazing in the heat!! :)
