~ Cozy at Home ~

This weekend finds J at home!
After a very long work week,
he has three days off.
Hooray!
The heat in east Tennessee is
hovering around 95 degrees over the next few days.
And we are going to snuggle on the couch,
watch the antics of our critters and
maybe a few movies.
In the cool, wonderful coziness of the A/C!

Oh, and watch the Indy 500.
J is a huge race fan.
Me?
Not so much.
But, I will watch.

Oh, the things we do for Love!

So, tell me.
What are you up to this Memorial Day weekend?
I would love to know!

Whatever you do,
wherever you go,
be safe!
xo,
misha

{I just signed up for "Pinterest"..any helpful hints?}

Gardening, gardening and more gardening... but that's what I like so all is good! Of course we don't have temps in the 90's... we're excited to hit 70 today :)

Enjoy the races... and the movies,
~Chris

I am helping my daughter with open house invites for grandson Tyler, plus food plans.

Snickers is trying out her Thunder Shirt . . . I am being hopeful and optimistic.

Jack was working on the back yard project. Grass is growing but spotty so he had to refigure and add more seed . . .SMILE!

Life is good . . .

We always stay home on holidays. There is always a lot to do around here that doesn't seem so much like work, more like projects that we enjoy. And also plenty of time to relax. Enjoy your time on the sofa!!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I am such a homebody myself. I have been watering plants in the dark this evening due to the heat :(
Enjoy the movies and the 'babies'.
Hugs,
Donna

As always, we are staying home. Today was do the lawn and buy groceries, then barbecued chicken out on the back deck. Hubby made some wonderful cole slaw....just an ordinary weekend at our house.

Loved the kitties in the window!
We are watching history on tv this weekend, in between gardening and baking... perfect way to spend a weekend for us!

I'll be working this weekend, my preference over fighting holiday crowds and traffic.

No time for pinterest.

Glad I read your blog this morning! Didn't know about the race today. I'm going to try to organize the kitchen this weekend and pick up the house a little. Glad to have an extra day to get things ready for work next week.

Enjoy your weekend!

Lots of yard work yesterday, taking one daughter to a cookout today and then after going to the movies with our younger daughter. Tomorrow we invited a few friends over for a cookout and some pool fun. We'll need to cool off, it's supposed to be in the mid 90's here, too.
Enjoy your weekend, the snuggling and the fur babies. :-)

Saturday afternoon we went to listen to a band for a coupld of hours that was playing close to our house. I already told you about blowing up the "pool" but I forgot to tell you about Rae's 6th birthday party. It's a princess tea party extravaganza and I'm attending today. Burgers on the grill tomorrow.

Hillbilly likes the races too but I don't think he really watches the Indy. Mostly NASCAR but for some reason hasn't really watched this year. Yay!

Pinterest can be good for your blog traffic if you get pinned. I like that you can easily pin something and go back to reference later. I don't really have any tips other than it is addtictive at first but then the novelty wears off. I don't play with it much anymore. Oh...beware of some of the recipes on there. I've made a few that weren't that great! I've also been pinned a couple of times and it brought tons of traffic to my blog which sort of freaks me out. Ha!

Isn't the heat this time of year nuts? Golly, it's acting like it's August! We're limiting ourselves to indoor pursuits. I'm catching up with the computer and jumping into more photo training. Just finished the laundry!

Pinterest is quite fun. I use it like a personal bulletin board. Set up good, manageable categories to group posts together. Find other pinners and boards that interest you. Don't try to pin everything at once, LOL. Also, an accurate description is vital. So many people mess that part up. Successful searches depend on accurate descriptions. A one word descriptions of "cute" doesn't tell anybody (let alone the search engine) what the photo/post is all about! Also, it is wise to check links before you repin someone else's pin. There are quite a few that are not directed correctly.

I'm so glad that your hubby is home for the long weekend! It sounds like you guys have quite the relaxing holiday planned :)

The things we do for love indeed! As I type this my sweetie is taking a little snooze beside me ^.^

As for Pinterest, don't be surprised if you look up and a few (or several) hours are gone. LOL It's quite addicting!

You know.. snuggling on the couch in AC when it's 95 degrees out isn't a bad thing at all... even if you have to listen to the noise of the races. I'm not a fan either but the boyz are.

We'll have cake for my mom out on the patio tonight after hotdogs and hamburgs, etc. The weather here is glorious!

Barbecues, time with family, fishing, gardening. Not too much traveling.

So glad J and you had time together. It was hot here near the Finger Lakes (near 90 degF). We'll be back in the 70's by mid-week. Enjoy the A/C!
