Dining in a Small Town!

As I type this,
J is cutting the grass.
Something he planned on doing last Tuesday!
He left on Monday, for work,
with the intention of being gone one night.
One night turned into almost a week!

J keeps me posted of his travels
by sending pictures throughout his day.
I never know what I am going to get :)

This past week he was working in a tiny
town right on the Alabama-Mississippi line.

On his last night there,
he ate dinner at
"The Speedy Pig"!
Where else, but in a quirky little town,
would a restaurant have that
cute of a name!

While dining, he always reads the local paper.
And browses the ads.

While J was chowing down on
southern goodness,
he spotted this ad below!

And thought to himself...
"Next time, I am going to Foodland for dinner!

J and I figure if you live in that area,
there may be a job opening.
For a typesetter that knows how spell!

Have a wonderful day.
And if you are grilling out,
don't forget your
Porn and Beans!

Hahaha! You should send that in to Jay Leno. I am rarely up late enough to watch, but I have seen some of these things that people have sent in. Funny!!

i've never been a real fan of pork & beans. but 2 years ago i think it was the hubby & i were without power for 2 to 3 days ... so you could not eat anything out of the frig or all would be ruined so we had canned goodies. & that was when i really became a total fan of baked beans. oh so yummy. now i keep a bunch in the cabinet just in case. sometimes i use hebrew nationals in them too. yummy good. too day he had. i like how he keeps you inform throughout the day that is so sweet. awww!! the hubby keeps to himself. i'm slowing getting him to call before he comes home so i can get dinner ready. it is a big process. but it is going pretty good. big hugs, misha. sure have missed ya. (:

I love reading the local newspapers when we're on vacation, which isn't often. And I think it's a neat idea that J send you pics of his travels... kinda brings you closer together while he's away.

Oh, that is so funny! It's nice he keeps in touch while he's gone. We have a restaurant over here called Fatty Patty's, and I am not kidding, there isn't anyway to finish a plate of food. They are HUGE! There is also another one called Fat Dave's, one owner owns them both...

I am terribly behind on my blog reading, I desperately need to catch up with yours. And I will.

Oh I just love that. Here's hoping there's somebody walking around very embarassed. Well unless he did it on purpose. Maybe it was his last day of work. Take this job and....... :)
