Frankly My Dear,

I really love all those Black Walnut trees
that grow along the creek.
Now there are two less.
I guess it was their time to become firewood.
The sound of  chainsaws has been
a constant since 8a.m.
here at our home.
It is quite noisy from J being on the roof.
And neighbors helping us to get these trees cleared out.
The pups are miffed because their back-yard
is out of order.
The kitties are a little put off with all
the sounds that keep them from doing
what they do best.
Cat napping.

And me?

I still can't believe our well pump went out last week,
and it was
I will think about tree loss next week.

How are things on your side of the mountain?

p.s. remember to become my FaceBook friend!
I am not begging, really I am not.......

Oh my goodness, Girl! Great captures though. I hope there wasn't too much damage, but what a pain. And the well pump too. Truly, when it rains, it pours. Hope things are better all the way around & soon! -Tammy

Oh goodness!
Glad everyone is fine. The weather this year has been soooo strange. We had a gust front come through here on Monday but not much else. Mr. Ken helped me move flowers and such but then we ended up with pidly (sp?) Those weather guys--they get you going and then things change.

Good Luck with the tree removal.
Hope you are feeling better too.

And I am complaining about humidity?

I am so sorry you have had this mess and loss. How about that hubby, he looks like he is in his realm with his chain saw!

The clearing is happening . . . how does it look?

Hate to see those trees down. We are tree lovers here, ya know!
And hey! You could have called us to replace that well pump. That's our business! We could have given you a deal if I could come along and love on Annie (and meet you all)! Of course, the gas to drive from Michigan...but it would have been worth it!

Oh no! I hope you roof is okay! The storm was bad here in Knoxville last night, but we're all right.

Not the vintage lawn furniture!!

How much for a pump??!!

I suppose more firewood will come in handy, we could sure use it here!

Oy! Enough is enough!

That is a BIG tree!!

Ouch! It pains me to see that big tree down. I certainly hope the vintage furniture is okay. You're right, Mother Nature decided it was time for those trees to be firewood.

Misha, you have had a rough couple of months girl! But if that's black walnut on your deck, thats the good stuff, don't use it as firewood!! Im sure if you put it on Craisglist you could make the best of an unfortunate loss....just a thought :)

Bummer about the well pump and your beautiful tree!

Sorry that I'm not on Facebook! I just haven't decided to take the plunge!

I have gone forward and backwards looking at all the pictures of that tree. OMG. I just can't believe the size of it. I bet someone might like to buy the wood and make something so pretty out of it. I am surrounded by trees all over my house. I'm getting nervous.

You and your sassy self with that lovely tractor...thank God for tractors! And J...he's looking mighty fine with that chainsaw...love me a good chain saw and a good chain saw operator -grin-.
Some writer just did a post on "I Love Me a Redneck" and went on to say she loves rednecks because they have trucks and tractors and chainsaws and back hoes...
I guess now I'm a redneck...LOL!
