I couldn't play the video, but maybe that's just as well. It will make me homesick. I LOVE elk and watching them is magical...
I will try again later, curiosity gets me every time. :D

Hugs to the animals!

Magnificent animals! Once in Idaho I was walking in the mountains there and wasn't too far from the highway. I went around a bend and there was a brand new baby in the brush with her mother. I froze in mid-step. She stared me down and I stared her down. I didn't want to move for obvious reasons and eventually she pushed at her baby and nudged him up the hill behind her. What a neat thing to see that close.

Good morning Misha!
Thanks for sharing this video with us...it's been a long time since i've seen elk. When I was in British Columbia we would see them when we headed into Alberta but mostly in the area where I lived there were moose. Enjoy your blogging break and I'll be watching for you when you get back. Take care! Maura :)

Hi Misha, George and I --along with a couple of friends went to Cataloochee Valley in October --and we saw the elks and heard them bugle... It was awesome....

If you have time check out my elk pictures on my blog. Go to the sidebar, scroll down to Labels, and click on Cataloochee Valley..

Hugs,

I've enjoyed seeing the Elk at Land Between the Lakes many times. Took my husband through there 3 years ago to see them and it was rutting season. Would you believe that we have some elk porno pictures, LOL? Can't show THEM on my blog!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I came over to visit and your photos brought back a flood of memories. We lived in TN before moving to IN. Such beautiful times. xo
