Spring Giveaway!!

Are you ready?
Ready for blue skies.
Ready for spring flowers.

Ready to walk barefoot through the grass?

Me, too.

But, it seems as if we may have to wait a bit longer
for the butterflies to flutter by us while we are gardening.

What about a Spring Giveaway
to cheer us,
while we wait!

I hope that I have put together a little bit of Spring
delight in this giveaway.
So, take a look....

Do you see everything?
There, on the little writing desk.

(Brutus was looking for his toy that rolled under the desk!)

Everything you see here, is special to me!

I will give you a little giveaway tour :)

~~~The egg shaped plate is from Williams-Sonoma.
It is too cute.
 Little rabbits forge across the creek in their "egg" boat.
They have precious cargo-colored eggs!~~~
I have the matching plate, which I will be keeping.
A wonderful couple whose horse I cared for a few years ago
gave them to me!
The plates mean a lot to me.
But, I don't really need two!
So, I would be honored to share one with a Follower :)
~~~The little bunny in the straw hat, holding a pot of flowers, has a yellow birdie on his shoulder~~~
I am keeping his girlfriend!
A sweet friend gave these to me!
So, I am paying it forward.
Giving one to another sweet friend...

~~~A tea towel, hand embroidered by great Aunt Charlotte.~~~
I have many, many vintage pieces like this.
I adore them.
I think you should have one, too!
~~~The Angel in Pink, welcoming Spring.~~~
She has a halo.
Something we should all aspire to have !

~~~The very sweet and delicate teacup and saucer.
It is by Johnson Bros.
The pattern is Indian Tree.
It is very old.~~~
This was my Grandmother's china.
I have the complete set...and then some.
I think everyone should be able to sit on their porch,
on a cool, Spring evening and listen to the frogs in the creek.
And sip tea from a pretty cup, that sits in a lovely saucer...
I am even including a sample of my favorite tea.
Constant Comment by Bigelow...
My heart skipped a beat when I found out that Mary Engelbreit's magazine
would no longer be published.
So sad.
I have almost every issue of this wonderful creation!
~~~The one I am including for you is from March 1999~~~

One of my favorite issues.
 You will be able to tell by the corners of pages that I marked.
Don't worry that the issue is from 1999;
this magazine is timeless!
I ~Heart~ Mary Engelbreit.
You will too!

~~~And because we have a little theme going here...
some Mary Engelbreit notecards.~~~
So you can write a proper Thankyou card to the Easter Bunny!
Oh, and so you will feel like Spring when you step out....
~~~An adorable Vera Bradley bag!~~~
Just look at those awesome colors :)

It even cheers up our mud-room!
Our winter jackets look pretty sad next to this cheerful number!

I have waited,
and waited,
and waited,
for this first issue of
~~~Flea market Style~~~
It has been talked about,
written about,
and blogged about!
As a thrifter who considers herself a champion (LOL) in the world of
repurposing and reinventing...
scouring yard sales, thrift stores, and flea markets...
I was not disappointed with the wait!
An awesome new magazine!
I am sharing one of my copies in the Spring Giveaway!
So, there you have it!
A few of my favorite things.
That I hope a lucky Follower will be pleased to accept!
Here we go,
1.) Leave a comment and let me know that you are a Follower!
 (I can ship International to Canada Only
please see end of post)
2.) If you put a little diddy on your blog,
about this giveaway, you will be entered twice!!
It must remain on your blog until the end of the giveaway :)
Make sure you come back to leave a second comment
to let me know you have my giveaway on your blog!
The Spring Giveaway will end
Tuesday, March 2, 2010
at 7:00p.m.
I will use the same random number chooser thingy (ha!)
that I used for the last giveaway.
I will post later that evening on the Big Winner!
Then the winner will email me at
with their address.
Now go...
leave a comment.
Tell us something *you* love that is in the giveaway!
And put your Halo on for goodness sake!
There is a whole lotta Blog Love going on here!
one last peek!
Here is to Spring!
I cannot ship Internationally anywhere else.
Let's see, I'm already a follower, and I just posted your giveaway on my blog. :-)
What a wonderful spring giveaway Misha... I have quite a few of those Mary Engelbreit magazines too. I did sell a few on Ebay several years ago - did you know the dolls in the back are collector's items these days?
And I would love to check out that Flea Market magazine, didn't know about that one.
Karen said...
Oh Misha, I can't say I have ever worn a halo..I do great deeds, but I also sin :-)
I love the teacup, as you know I've been salivating over old dishes lately and have begun my own little collection.
Happy Spring!
Misha, you are of course, very sweet and you're also very generous too! What a lovely giveaway. The egg shaped plate is sooo adorable and the Indian Tree cup and saucer....my mom has a plate in that pattern that my sweet grandmother gave her, I have always loved it. A little something else we have in common! : )
You are a definitely a thrifting diva, I wish I could go thrifting with you! We could have a lot of fun and I could learn a lot! ; )
The Artist worked on a ME Christmas special a few years ago. Maybe you've seen it?
Happy Saturday!
What a cute, thrifty giveaway. I love that teacup. I have some very expensive tea cups of my grandmothers who were my great grandmothers. I should probably get them appraised. A little too expensive to be sipping tea out of though.
My goodness, Misha! You are too generous. What a great giveaway! Love it all, but that hand embroidered tea towel is tugging at my heart strings. And, yes indeed, I am a happy camper/follower here :) -Tammy
Tardevil said...
I'm going to be honest...I just found your blog from another blog, but I'm glad I did if you're a re-purposer! :) I'm signing up to follow. Like the 'sentimental gifts' in your giveaway, but my favorite thing is the ME magazine because I found out I was pregnant with my first daughter (@ 13 wks) in March of 1999. I had no idea they were going to discontinue that magazine, but when one good one leaves, maybe FMS will kind of take it's place. Do you live near Gollum? The land looks very similar. Signing up to follow! :O)
Everything is lovely, but my favourites would have to be the cute pink plate, your Grandma's teacup and Auntie's hand stitched towel. Thanks for the opportunity to win your generous giveaway!
