The Love of Annie...Happy Valentines Day!

Annie, six hours after birth!
She was sleepy!
Being born is a lot of work!

Annie stood within an hour.
She checked out everything in her stall,
including us!

Annie nursed right away.
She found everything she needed without our help!
Smart little girl, she is!
We did Imprint Training with her right away.

And we fell in love with her
and I think she fell in love with us, too!

Annie got to meet the World at about 10 hours old.
Miss D was so proud to show her off!
She is a wondeful Mother..
still so protective even as Annie approaches 4 months!

Is this Love or what!
This has become Annie's pose with Miss D.
When something has scares her, when the mares make nasty faces at her,
when she is running so fast, and falls on her bum!

Annie runs to Miss D...

And I soak it all in.
Because in a few months another phase in the life of Annie
will begin, when she is weaned.
But, I can't think of that now.
Because it makes me cry.

So, for now, I wade in the love.
The Love of Annie and Miss D...

They grow up so fast, don't they?

Hope your day is full of a love...

**Thanks to all of you who expressed such concern about the last post.
I wrote about it, because I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Over and Over, in my mind.
If anything good can come of that post,
it would be to help someone listen to their gut feelings.
And put their gut feelings into action.

***The woman I wrote about pleaded not guilty yesterday to 42 counts of abuse and neglect.
I will keep you updated.

She is so beautiful. Getting to be quite the lady! It is hard when your little ones grow up. They do it so fast that you just have to savor the time you have when they are young.

Happy to have found your blog, I would follow anyway just so I could see the beautiful picture at the header of your blog, it is so calming. Love seeing the pics of the new foal. I also notice that you make note of how fleeting life is and how fast it all flies by, something I try to be aware of at all times but even so its always good to be reminded to stop and smell the roses. Looking forward to seeing where your adventure takes you.

I agree. Maybe someone will do something next time. In the meantime, that little LoveBug Annie is so adorable I can hardly stand it! I love the mothering that animals do with their young. So miraculous.

Annie is so beautiful! It is so much fun to get a foal..they are SO soft, I love their tiny little muzzles and how they LOVE to be scratched on their little bottoms, how they run with their little tails up in the air. I just love horses of any size I guess. Have a good Valentines day and come say hi when you can :D

What a beautiful Valentine's post and today in Norway it is also Mother's Day. So this was also a special tribute to a mother's love- really lovely!! I keep telling my friends that I've been dreaming about horses since finding your blog- I just love Annie and think you are so lucky to be able to look out your window everyday and see that sweet little girl and her beautiful mamma and all the other gorgeous horses you have- what a charmed life you have Misha!
Have a great day! Hugs from Norway :-)

Annie is so very precious and it's hard to believe that 4 months has already passed since she was born... it seems only yesterday that you were anxiously awaiting her birth day by day, week by week!

Your previous post is just awful Misha... it's always so hard for me to fathom how humans can be so cruel to animals, living breathing creatures that bless our lives in so many wonderful ways.

And thanks for the shout-out for my giveaway... I'm in Ohio right now, but hoping I can still pick the winner first thing tomorrow morning! :-) (I have limited internet access)

Misha...not sure how to reach you so I'll leave another message. I can't begin to tell you how much your message meant to me today! Thank you for sharing of your experience in blogging, it helps me. I guess it's a bit of a shock to be blogging and meet up with such things when I never expected it, I just assumed everyone was a grown up, kind lady. Oh well...through SO many kind people like you, I feel great and am seeing thing clearly now.So thanks so much! (By the way, I was just looking at this baby and her mama..wow, the mom is so beautiful and I think Annie even exceeds her! How fun for you..love the header too!) Come say hi any time :D
